Nausea is one of my least favorite things in the entire universe, so I was really pleased to find a whole list of natural remedies for it! Some of these I was not aware of.

I added a few of my own personal remedies too, here they are:

1. Washing Your Face In Cold Water

I sometimes find this can help with nauseous or dizzy feelings – and it’s certainly refreshing!

2. Oregano Leaf Tincture

This is a known powerful antibiotic and so if the upset is caused by bad bacteria, this may help. It’s one of my go-to remedies whenever I have something going on with my belly. Note that it has been suggested to follow up the next day with probiotics, as oregano may wipe out bacteria indiscriminately, leading to a need to re-up on the “good guys”.

3. Probiotics

I need to do some more research on this to learn whether the “good bacteria” actually overpower or somehow smite the “bad bacteria”. However, from my own experience, taking a probiotic often seems a very rapid way to dispel nausea. It has worked for me lots of times and seems to keep my digestive system (which is prone to all kinds of weirdness) on the good road. 🙂 Here’s a link to the probiotic brand I use on Amazon.com – it gets a lot of five star reviews…. if you have a lot of “belly issues” I would definitely recommend that you check out the reviews and learn about this product.

4. Activated Charcoal

This has been used since the late 1800s as a remedy for nausea, vomiting, food poisoning and other kinds of poisoning. It is used in emergency wards around the world for poisoning cases and so is something worth considering for a first aid kit. Activated charcoal has the fascinating quality of being able to “adsorb” toxins effectively. It can be used in capsule / tablet form but it is said that the most rapid relief is provided by drinking “a mixture of one to two large spoonfuls of powder in a little water. You may follow the charcoal water with a glass of plain water, if tolerated. If the charcoal is vomited up, drink another glass of charcoal water immediately.” [1]

Note that peppermint, one of the remedies listed, is contraindicated in pregnancy.

😳 What Tinnitus Does To Your Brain Cells (And How To Stop It)

After 47 years of studies and countless brain scans done on more than 2,400 tinnitus patients, scientists at the MIT Institute found that in a shocking 96% of cases, tinnitus was actually shrinking their brain cells.

As it turns out, tinnitus and brain health are strongly linked.

Even more interesting: The reason why top army officials are not deaf after decades of hearing machine guns, bombs going off and helicopter noises…

Is because they are using something called "the wire method", a simple protocol inspired by a classified surgery on deaf people from the 1950s...

  1. Grated raw apple, allowed to turn a little brown (oxidise) and maybe topped with a little ginger, and eaten in small amounts off a teaspoon is a wonderful nausea remedy.

  2. Ginger tea and ginger candy work very well for nausea. In fact, I drink organic ginger tea as much as I can.do not eat meat as this often causes nausea, it is very hard to digest.

    1. I think that’s a good idea. Personally I use oregano tincture (Herb Pharm) in some warm water and it seems to help with belly stuff. One thing about oregano though, it is a natural antibiotic – which is great – but I have read that afterwards, it might be good to consider probiotics to build up the “good bacteria” again.

  3. Garlic is also a good one for belly. At least my belly. I had most of my stomach removed due to Diabetes and when I get feeling uck in the belly it usually means I have a bacteria. I am also immunosupressed as I had a double organ transplant too. I eat 1 finely chopped up clove of garlic and follow with 1-8oz glass of water to stop the burning. It immediately helps. All bacteria in my body is gone within 12 hours and I then eat a small goat milk to put back in the good. I am unable to tolerate Dairy, Soy or sugar so it is great to be able to handle even a UTI in this way.

  4. If this is about Oregano’s ability to help with nausea…why is the main picture of a cut lemon? I did not find any mention of lemons. Just asking….

  5. Check out two body movements that I found effective when nothing else works. Modified Epley procedure(MEP) OR Semont Maneuver(MSM). Both have great research and work with the inner ear.

  6. In the old days when i was prgnant with my first baby i suffered the
most violent morning sickness, and the only thing that stopped the nausea
was if i ate a lemon ,I couldnt eat anything that would stay in my belly
So i trust a slice of lemon on your tonge does solve the problem of nausea……What i would like to know is what cure can i use for the inflamation of the bladder,i had a terrible bladder infection that would not go away for the past two weeks until i was put on antibiotics that made me so nausea i could not eat properly is there no herb that i could use for this,i seem to catch all these allergies very quickly…….please help i need your advise thanks

  7. caution with activated charcoal powder – it can impact bowels. Yes, it is used for poisoning, also in compress for small wounds, but care should be taken when using. It is a powerful remedy.
